This sermon looks at the role of popular culture in influencing worldviews. The sermon starts with a brief look at three video clips to illustrate how easily we're captured by ideas on the flickering screen and then moves into an examination of three worldview being advanced by modern screenplay writers, television producers and Madison Avenue executives: materialism, immaturism and moral relativism. Jesus's views on such matters are discussed as are startling statistics which demonstrate that the worldviews of modern Christians are increasingly being shaped more by the world than by God.  Is it any wonder our Christianity lacks any distinctiveness and Christians often fall prey to false and destructive ideas.
