1. Living Stones

The very first time Jesus came to Herod's Temple (Luke 2:22-38), it was as a forty-day-old infant in the arms of Joseph and Mary.  At the time, Herod the Great was famous while the baby Jesus insignificant.  And yet, as the decades and centuries passed the young child was to become infinitely more important to human history than Herod.  Why is this?

2. Whosoever

When Joseph and Mary carried the young Jesus into the temple (Luke 2) they did so in accordance with strict religious protocols which regulated where they could and could not go within the complex. Access to the various areas was determined by ethnicity, religion, gender, tribal affiliation and family association. Jesus would radically overturn this whole system.

3. Holy

The inner sanctum of Herod's Temple was 'The Holy of Holies'. What made this room so special and how did it reflect the attributes of God? What made it the most wondrous yet fearful spot on plant earth?
