God's Not Dead: Evidence for God in an Age of Uncertainty

Increasingly, in the popular press, a personal belief in God is derided as old fashioned and out-of-touch with the new realities of the world of science and philosophy. Yet this series of presentations challenges this simplistic notion by assembling the mounting evidence that points to the existence of God. This series will help seekers, who are struggling with doubt about God's existence and the truth of Jesus Christ; saints, who know God is real but can't clearly explain their faith to others; and, skeptics, who don't believe. We hope this helps open up fresh dialogue with them.

Faith is Not Blind

Belief in God is declining in many western countries, in part because of the mistaken assumption—stridently proclaimed by the 'new atheists' (Dawkins, Harris et al)—that science and reason have killed God. In spite of the critics' claims, REAL FAITH is not blind and we are always to be ‘prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have’ (1 Peter 3:15).

Privileged Planet

In the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Goldilocks finds a bowl of porridge that is neither too hot nor too cold but ‘just right’. Astronomers have discovered that Earth is a rare  â€˜just right’ planet, positioned uniquely to support complex life. How probable is it that this could occur by mere chance?

Did the universe have a beginning? In the early part of the twentieth-century this question was answered by scientists with a resounding NO! The universe had no beginning, it had always simply existed. However, amazing discoveries over a fifty-year period overturned this position and led many thinkers not only to believe that universe had a beginning but that 'the cause' of the universe must be non-spacial, non-material, outside of time and immensely powerful.

Good and Evil are no Illusions
There was a Beginning

How can there be a God in the face of so much evil? Why do bad things happen? Skeptics claim that God is either not loving because he allows evil, or not all-powerful because he can't stop it. This is the biggest stumbling block for many people. Is it possible to reconcile an all-powerful and loving God with the existence of humanity's central struggle?

The Evidential Case for the Resurrection

Skeptics have offered numerous theories to account for the claims made in the New Testament that Jesus of Nazareth rose from the dead. Do any of the naturalistic explanations trump the miraculous assertions of first century Christians? What evidence points to the veracity of the Christian belief that Jesus rose from the dead?

What if Jesus had never been born?

Christianity has transformed all aspects of human life for the better. Without God the world would be a miserable place, the presence of His church has had a profound and beneficial impact on cultures, countries and countless lives.
